Sin Autorization: Contemporary Cuban Art is an exhibition that explores the political and intellectual context of the independent artistic scene in Cuba that emerged around 2016, and its many changes in the years following. Artists in the exhibition include: Lester Álverez Meno, Kevin Ávila, Tania Bruguera, Yasser Castellanos, Marco A. Castillo, Santiago Diaz M., Kiko Faxas, Leandro Feal, Celia González, Celia-Yunior, Hamlet Lavastida, Reynier Leyva Novo, Julio Llópiz Casa, Camila Lobón, Movimento San Isidro, and Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara; co-curators are: Gwen A. Unger, Ph.D. candidate, Art History and Archaeology, Columbia University and Abel González Fernández, MA Candidate, Center for Curatorial Studies (CCS) at Bard College and independent curator. Presented October 21, 2022 - January 15, 2023 at the Wallach Art Gallery.
