A Curator’s Perspective with Betti-Sue Hertz

Betti-Sue Hertz is director and chief curator of The Wallach Art Gallery. Her most recent exhibition is The Protest and The Recuperation on view now at the Wallach through August 14. Trained as an artist and an art historian, she is committed to the ideals of freedom of expression and the liberatory potential of the convergence of art and politics. Her curatorial and scholarly work focuses on the intersection of critical visual culture, transnational exchange, and socially relevant issues.
