The Hudson River is the first river to be saved in the history of global environmentalism. It was the spur for the Clean Water Act of 1972. Today the great river is once again in grave danger of intensified pollution and toxicity. Shorelines is a clarion call to riverine climate awareness and the centrality of the Hudson River’s marine health to the region’s ecologies.
