2003 First-Year MFA Exhibition

2003 First-Year MFA Exhibition presents the photographs, prints, paintings, sculptures and videos made by 24 first-year graduate students in the Visual Arts Division of Columbia University's School of the Arts.

The group of young artists showing new work includes: Doug Bennett, Jonathan Bogarin, Noah Fischer, Elizabeth Gray, Jose Guinto, Fabienne Laserre, Nicola Lopez, Molly Smith, Meagan Pflug, Matt Keegan, Jamie Isenstein, Anna Craycroft, Rachel Foullon, Justin Lowe, Tanyth Berkeley, Ohad Meromi, Ivan Orkeny, Fiona Gardner, Chrity Gast, Mika Roftenberg, Will Kwan, Richard la Barbera, Laura Kleger, and Laleh Khorramian.

The Visual Arts Division of Columbia University's School of the Arts has trained some of today's most intriguing young contemporary artists, including Banks Violette, Tim Gardner, Sue de Beer and George Rush. Under the leadership of its chair, Jon Kessler, the faculty, including, Archie Rand, Tomas Vu-Daniel, Tom Roma, Coco Fusco, Kara Walker, Dana Hoey and Rirkrit Tiravanija, encourages experimentation and fosters the individual growth of its students through a wide range of visual media.
